TERRY BACKHUUS, 34

Terry A, Backhuus, 34, of Bennington, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Services were Friday, Oct.2, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington. Burial was in the Flower Hill Cemetery. Terry Allan Backhuus was born Aug. 22, 1964, in Omaha to Peter and Adelyne (Bull) Backhuus.

He graduated from Bennington High School in 1982.

He attended Southeast Community College at Milford.

He began working for Vinton Motor Company in 1983 and continued to work for Dillon Motors.

On Sept. 15, 1984, he married Annette Schumacher in Bennington. The couple lived in rural Bennington.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington. He was a member of the church and of the Blair Masonic Lodge 21.

He is survived by his wife, Annette; two daughters, Shelby and Bailey; his father and mother, Peter and Adelyne Backhuus of Bennington; two brothers, Mark and Mike and his wife, Carole, all of Bennington; one sister, Nancy, and husband, Van Mohr, of Bennington; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Sherrill Schumacher of Kennard; brother-in-law, Neal and his wife, Niki Schumacher of Kennard; sister-in-law, Debra, and husband, Ron Deppermann, of Kennard; five nieces, five nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
