ERNEST H. MEIER DIES AT AGE OF 87
ARLINGTON - Funeral services for Ernest H. Meier, well known resident of this vicinity who passed away at his farm home on Friday morning at the age of 87 years, were conducted at the Vacoma church on Monday afternoon with the Rev. Paul Wiegman of Tekamah officiating.
Deceased was born on January 18, 1859. He was an early pioneer of Washington County. His wife passed away a number of years ago.
Miss Marialice Ekley, with Mrs. Paul Wiegman at the piano, sang two solos.
Pallbearers were Edward Gosker, Edward Flake, Peter Katt and Fred Grabbe.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. William Hass and Mrs. Ernest Hass, both of Scribner, and six grandsons, Milton and Eldon Meier of Herman, Harlan of Arlington, Eldon of Arlington, Gilbert Hass of Wilmington, California and Elmer Hass of the U. S. Navy, New York.
Burial was made in the Vacoma cemetery.
