#1-24 May, 1945 - CARL H. MEIERHENRY DIED MAY 16TH
Carl Henry Meierhenry was born at Telbasta, Nebraska February 27th, 1884, and received his education in the Telbasta School and later, for twenty five years, served as treasurer of the district.
On January 5th, 1910 he was married to Anna Niederdeppe. To them three sons were born. One of these, Lt. Vernon A. Meierhenry, was killed in action in the European conflict on October 15th, 1944. The other two sons, Harold Paul of Telbasta and Wesley Carl of Lincoln, survive and with the devoted wife, feel their irretrievable loss deeply. His death occurred on Wednesday, May 16, and the funeral services were held last Sunday, May 20th, from the Telbasta church at 2:30 p.m. and interment was made in the Telbasta cemetery.
Thus ends the life of an earnest, industrious person, one whose entire life had been honorably spent, and who made a place in his community that will indeed be difficult to fill.
