Ina D. Rogers, 77, of Arlington, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the Arlington Community Church. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Reckmeyer Funeral Home in Arlington, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Friday, one hour prior to the services.
Ina Deane French was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Arlington to Leslie and Inez (Jeppesen) French. She was a lifelong resident of Arlington. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1948 and attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, and received her teaching certificate in 1950. She taught at schools in rural Washington County.
On June 10, 1951, she married Loran G. Rogers at Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers farmed in rural Arlington. In 1971, they were named the Farm Family of the Year by WOWTV, and they were also recipients of the Ak-Sar-Ben Pioneer Farm Family Award for having family ownership of the farm for 100 years.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Arlington Community Church, where she was a member of the church circle and taught Sunday School. She was a 50-plus year member of Sarepta Chapter No. 48, Order of the Eastern Star in Arlington; was a member of the Town and Country social club for more than 40 years; and was a member of the Eagles Camping Club of FOE No. 200 of Fremont.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lorna and Londo Auch of Bennington; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Jane Rogers of Arlington, Lynn W. and Kris Rogers of Wichita, Kan., and Lane A. and Pat Rogers of Blair; mother-in-law, Hilda Rogers Lippincott of Fremont; sister and brother-in-law, Nila and Duane Chappelear of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loran, in September 2005.
Memorials are suggested to the Loran G. and Ina Deane Rogers Scholarship Fund at Arlington High School.
