| Raymond Peters 
Raymond J. Peters, 79, of Arlington, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at Fremont Area Medical Center. 
Peters was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Washington.  He grew up between Washington and Arlington and attended Mattes School in Washington County.  He was a lifetime resident of Washington County.  He farmed for several years then worked for Chicago-North-western Railroad for several years.  He married Rosie Luschen Sept. 11, 1941, in Bennington.  He then returned to farming, also working part time for J.C. Robinson Seed Company in Waterloo.  In 1972, he quit farming to work full time there, retiring in 1984.  He moved to Arlington in 1982. 
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bennington. 
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joan (Mrs. Paul Sorensen) of Arlington; a son, Ronald (and wife, Janel) Peters, of Arlington; four grandchildren and two great-grand-children. 
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bennington.  The Rev. John A. Pierson will officiate.  Visitation will be noon to 9 tonight in Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home Arlington, and one hour prior to service at the church.  Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery, near Washington.
