Theodore J. Peters

Theodore J. Peters, 71, of Fort Calhoun, died Sunday, June 19, 2005, in Fort Calhoun. Graveside services were Monday, June 20, at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Theodore Joseph Peters was born Aug. 5, 1933, in St. Paul to Leonard and Celia Peters. He later lived in Ashton, and moved to Omaha when he was 17. In 1967, he moved to Fort Calhoun.

On May 14, 1959, he married Theresa Stedman in Omaha.

Mr. Peters was a member of the Carpenters Local Union.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughter, Michele Jensen of Omaha; sons, John Peters of Rochester, Minn., and Michael Peters of Blair; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Tom Peters of Alabama; sisters, Janice Miller of Plattsmouth, and Linda Peters of Omaha; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Pedersen; daughter, LaMoyne Pedersen; son, Patrick Peters; and brothers, Jerome and Leonard Peters.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
