Violet Mathiesen
Services for Violet Irma Mathiesen, 73, who died Friday, October 18, 1985, at Immanuel Lutheran Hospital in Omaha, were Monday, 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl Schattauer, Jr. officiated and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Mrs. Mathiesen was born May 14, 1912, the daughter of Chester and Nellie Pullen of Wakefield. She married Lloyd Mathiesen on January 17, 1934, in Blair.
She attended Rose Hill School and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Ervin of Blair, and Lyle of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Elaine Mathiesen of Blair; one brother, Loren Pullen of Fremont; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, Merle, and three brothers.
Pallbearers were Otto Matzen, Arthur Vercruysse, Raymond Wilson, Merle Ward, Edgar Short and Gordon Husk.
Organist was Clare Cowing.
Campbell Funeral Home of Blair was in charge of arrangements.
