Augie Petersen Rites Were Friday
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Bendorf Funeral Home for Augie Petersen who resided at 2031 Front Street. He died at Verterans’ Hospital in Omaha following several periods of hospitalization.
Mr. Petersen was born at Goduad, Denmark, March 10th, 1896. He was a farmer but was never married.
The lone survivor in America is a brother, Agner who lives in Los Angeles. Another brother and five sisters still live in Denmark.
Services were conducted by the Rev. George Pallesen of First Lutheran Church and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Fred Long, Jack Jensen, Vernon Therkelsen, Jack Mencke, Pete Johansen and Hans Mencke.
