Gerald E. Shearman, 70, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at his home in Blair.
Following Mr. Shearman’s request, there will be no services.
Gerald E. Shearman was born March 27, 1943, in Omaha to Kenneth K. and Esther L. (Piken) Shearman.
He was raised in Omaha and was a graduate of Omaha South High School.
On April 3, 1965, he married Mary Nielsen.
From 1965 to 1967, he served his country in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge from the military, he returned to Omaha and worked for Hinky Dinky until its closure.
He was employed with C&E Woodworking and then worked for R&G Cabinets until his retirement.
The couple moved to Blair in 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Blair; son Gerald Scott Shearman and wife Stacy of Blair; son Brian Keith Shearman of Blair; grandchildren: Zak and Zane of Blair; brother, Melvin Shearman of Ashland; and sister Evelyn Gree of Minnesota.
Memorials may be directed to the family or Pets for Vets.
