“Hap”—an appropriately named happy baby who became a
happy man. A child among many children whose eventual
passion was his own close-knit clan.

It all started quickly with his own precious lady,
who would soon be the mother of his six little babies.

As the years passed by, more children arrived, to the delight and enjoyment of this hard-working guy.

He loved them all and spoke of each often, Made them al feel special and made their hearts soften.

He and his “beautiful bride” provided a home where they all could Gather, filled with love, kindness, togetherness, and laughter.

Nothing could replace this special farm where the noise of town was drown and where work effortlessly mixed with fun and rarely got anybody down.

A heaven on earth one might say, a place where you wanted to and succeeded in residing until your final day.

Our wish for you is that you have arrived at your new place, your heaven in heaven, hopefully a similar space.

The birds are chirping, the fire is crackling, the fish are swimming, the putts are sinking, the sun is shining and you and Rich are grinning.

The grass is green and doesn’t need mowing, the deer are running, your coffee is brimming, and the Cardinals are winning.

We hope that you are looking down at all you and your beautiful bride created with a smile on your face. You need not worry, she will be cared for in your safe precious place.

Our days were better when you were here, You will be held close to our heats, we will all keep you near.

Love – your loving family

A Tribute to Dad (on his 90th birthday, July 30, 2012, written by Cheryl Warrick Clements)

When your mother turned ninety a poem you would write, A tribute to the wonderful woman you remember with delight!

And now that you have reached this amazing milestone, It’s my turn to write you this poem.

Although our family isn’t as large as your mother’s The love you gave us goes beyond all others.

So once again God has blessed the Warrick family With parents that have been just heavenly.

And as you told us many, many times, Your dad declared perfection when he looked into your eyes.

You knew that Kubie gal would be your wife, And with her you would share a wonderful life.

First there was Robert Amasa, born during the flood of ’52, Then came Janet Ann, your very own little Susie Q

Richard Harland was the next to arrive, A special son in everyone’s eyes.

Then it was my turn to be bounced on your knee, “little sister” Cheryl Marie.

John Meredith would arrive just thirteen months later, Another boy, what could be greater!

And just when you thought you were all through, Gordon Lynn was born to complete the family brood.

And now I hope that you don’t mind, From you, I took this last line.

So I’m trying to say what I hope was evident from the start— Is that we love you dad with all our heart.
