MRS. ELSIE CARLSON DIED AT AGE 89
Rev. George Pallesen of the First Lutheran Church was in charge of services held at the Bendorf Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 19th for Mrs. Elsie M. Carlson, age 89, of 1327 Grant Street, Blair, who passed away at the McBride Nursing Home September 17th.
Mrs. Carlson was born August 27th, 1873 in Sweden and came to this country at the age of 9 and spent most of her life here. Committal was at the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Carlson, J. T. Fitzwater, George Good, James Hancock, Nels Poulson and Russell Poulson.
Survivors are two sons, George Carlson of Silver City,Iowa, Verner Carlson of San Leandro, California; five daughters, Mrs. E___ (smudged) Poulson, Mrs. Menno Good (Sophia), Mrs. Edith Jensen, all of Blair; Mrs. Harold Ryan (Millie) of Osceola, Iowa, Mrs. Howard Moss (Dora) of Denver, Colorado; eighteen grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one brother, Alex Jaroff of Craig, Nebraska.
