Former Blair Man Dies In Wisconsin
Dick A. Alderman, 78, of Cashton, and formerly of Blair, died Tuesday, December 26, 1978, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Sparta, Wisconsin.
Mr. Alderman was born December 7, 1900, in Newport, Nebraska, to Mr. and Mrs. William Alderman. He married Lucile Anglemire on September 7, 1933.
He is survived by his wife, Lucile; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Jessie) Hutchens of Waukegan, Illinois; Mrs. Harland (Lolabelle) Halverson of Hustler, Wisconsin; and one son, William of Cotati, California. Seventeen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, Price of Newport, Nebraska; three sisters, Anna Tate and Florence Thompson, both of Commerce City, Colorado, and Hazel Jones of Valentine, Nebraska, all survive him.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 28, at 2 p.m. from Torkelson’s Funeral Chapel in Cashton, Wisconsin, with the Rev. Richard Schwenkmeyer officiating. Burial was in the Moen Cemetery near Cashton.
Friends called Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Torkelson’s Funeral Chapel in Cashton where a prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m.
