ED PFEIFFER, 88, DIED AT DODGE COUNTY HOSPITAL

Edward William Pfeiffer, well known and long time Washington county farmer, died at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont December 18th. He had been living at 2175 Davis Street in Blair.

He was born in Germany December 12, 1882 and came to this county as a youth. He became a farmer, a work which he followed throughout his entire life. His wife, the former Dora Struve, preceded him in death.

He is survived by five sons and daughters; William Pfeiffer resides in Georgia, John H. Pfeiffer (Jim) lives in Colorado and Henry lives in Blair. There are two daughters, Helen Pfeiffer and Louise Pfeiffer, both of whom live in Blair.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 21st at the Campbell Mortuary in Blair with the Rev. Robert Bee of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Kay, Hans Kay, Earl Kempcke, Peter J. Nohrenberg, C.N. Robinson, Jr. and Sam Lingo.
