DIES OF CONSUMPTION
Perhaps one of the most largely attended funeral services of any of our citizens who have passed into the land beyond the grave, was that of Hans Anderson, who died at his home in this city on May 5 after an illness of twelve months of consumption.
Hans Anderson was born at Argo, Burt county, Nebraska, November 1, 1878, and lived there with his parents until he was fifteen years of age, when, with his parents, he moved to Washington county, settling on a farm near this city. Here he grew to manhood and on December 28, 1905, was united in marriage to Miss Francis Christensen of Spiker. They continued to live with the parents on the farm until about one year ago, when he was stricken with the dread disease, at which time they removed to this city, making their home in Dexterville.
To Mr. and Mrs. Anderson three children were born, one of whom, with the wife, mother, father, three sisters and two brothers, mourn his loss.
The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon and was attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends who gathered in respect for the love and esteem in which they held the departed during his residence in this section.
The body was taken to the Blair cemetery, where interment was made.
