Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30 at the Church of Christ in Wymore, Nebraska, with burial in the Wymore Cemetery for Goldie Chapman age 92, who died June 27, 1992, at the Tekamah Nursing Center, Tekamah, Nebraska. She had been a resident of the home since 1985 after moving from Blair.
Goldie Enna Fletcher was born on February 5, 1900 at Hubbell, Nebraska, to Arthur and Florence Humrich Fletcher. She attended school in Buckingham, Colorado.
On December 16, 1924, she married Joseph I. Chapman at Wymore, Nebraska. She resided in Wymore, Bassett and Tekamah before moving to Blair in 1975 to be near her son, Joe.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Blair and a 54 year member of the Violet Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Wymore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph in June of 1958, and one brother William.
She is survived by her son, Joe Chapman of Blair; two granddaughters, Paula Costen, Skidmore, Missouri and Angela Chapman, Lincoln, Nebraska; two great-grandchildren, Katlynn and Nicholas Costen; two sisters, Mildred Nance, Russell, Kansas and Eoe Fry Mason, Papillion, Nebraska and one sister-in-law, Goldie Fletcher, Marysville, Kansas.
Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church in Blair, Nebraska or the Church of Christ in Wymore, Nebraska.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
