ROY DOLAN DIED AT BLAIR HOSPITAL LATE THURSDAY

Roy Dolan, a resident of Blair for more than fifty years, died at midnight Thursday, February 26 at the Blair Hospital. He had been in failing health and hospitalized for several months.

For many years he was engaged in the sale of seed corn and he built a sizeable clientele among the farmers of the Blair and Washington County area.

For several years he and his wife, Flossie, had been living at Parkview Manor on South Sixteenth Street but he was a familiar sight on the streets of Blair where he visited with his many friends he had accumulated during his years in business.

He was born at Stanton, Nebraska December 4, 1889 and was 86 years of age at his death.

He is survived by his wife Flossie, and by four daughters and one son.

The daughters are Mrs. Harvey Simpson (Ora) of Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Don Moore (Mary) of Blair; Mrs. Marshall Gilbert (Barbara) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and Mrs. George Ketchmark (Phyllis) of Omaha. The son is Mickey Dolan of San Jose, California.

A sister, Mrs. Josie Provitze, lives in Oregon.

There are eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock this morning (Monday) at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. The Rev. Robert Bee and the Rev. Charles Pedersen will conduct the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
