Rebecca Ann Bass, 72, of Herman, died peacefully at her home Wednesday, March 19, 2014, after a long illness.
A memorial service was Monday, March 24, at the Herman Community Church.
Rebecca Ann Bullock was born Aug. 24, 1941, to Carroll Otis and Lois (Forbes) Bullock in Hickory, N.C.
She attended Hickory High School through her junior year and completed her high school education several years later.
After many years as a full-time homemaker and mother, she held several customer-service positions with Duke Power, Carolina Steel and Boyles Furniture. She later retired to Nebraska.
With ex-husband Thomas G. Jones, she was the parent of two daughters: Judith Carol and Teresa Ann.
She is survived by daughters: Judy Jones of Herman and Teresa Nicholson of Blair; sister Judith Elaine Parsons of Newton, N.C.; seven granddaughters; three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
